The Red Sea Diving Safari connects the vibrant reefs of Hurghada with the untouched coastal lagoons of Safaga and the pristine bays of Marsa Alam, creating a truly diverse liveaboard experience. Unlike offshore-only routes, this itinerary follows the African coastline, combining world-class reef diving with rare marine life encounters in shallow seagrass habitats.
This safari is a comprehensive exploration of the northern and southern Red Sea. From coral gardens and dramatic drop-offs to sheltered lagoons and sandy plateaus, divers experience the full spectrum of underwater landscapes. Along the route, encounters with green sea turtles, rays, and even dugongs are possible — especially in protected coastal lagoons known as natural feeding grounds. With experienced captains navigating lesser-known mooring spots, this journey blends classic reef highlights with hidden gems, making it one of the most complete Red Sea liveaboard programs available.
The itinerary is approximate and may change due to weather conditions, coast guard restrictions, or other factors. Dive sites may be adjusted or visited in a different order to ensure safety and the best experience for our guests.
Boarding for your Diving Safari Red Sea begins at 18:00. For departures from Port Ghalib, a free group transfer from Hurghada is available in the evening (usually around 20:00). Private transfers from Hurghada and Marsa Alam airports can be arranged upon request. After check-in, you will meet the crew, settle into your cabin, and prepare for your Coastal Lagoons Tour adventure.
The Coastal Lagoons liveaboard departs in the morning after port clearance and coastguard approval. A detailed boat, safety, and dive briefing is followed by a check dive to ensure comfort and weighting. Enjoy 1–2 relaxed dives along the Red Sea coastline before sailing toward the first lagoon systems, officially starting your coastal lagoons diving safari.
These days form the heart of the Diving Safari Red Sea experience, with up to four dives per day at carefully selected sites between Hurghada, Safaga, and Marsa Alam. The route includes vibrant coral reefs, sloping gardens, and sheltered coastal lagoons rich in marine biodiversity.
Dives may take place over seagrass meadows where green turtles feed, sandy plateaus known for macro life, and reef walls frequented by pelagic visitors. The coastal lagoons liveaboard concept allows flexible routing depending on sea conditions and wildlife sightings, maximizing the chance of memorable encounters — including dugongs in their natural habitat.
Each evening, the yacht repositions to the next highlight of the Coastal Lagoons Tour, offering a balanced mix of scenic diving and relaxed cruising.
Enjoy the final two dives of your Diving Safari Red Sea before returning to the marina. In case of arrival in Port Ghalib, a free group transfer to Hurghada will be organized at approximately 14:00. The afternoon is free to relax onboard and celebrate the completion of your coastal lagoons diving safari.
Check-out is completed before 09:00, marking the end of your Red Sea Diving Safari experience.
