Daedalus Mania!

The Daedalus Diving Safari is a thrilling Red Sea liveaboard itinerary designed for experienced divers seeking unforgettable encounters with pelagic marine life. This expedition-style route focuses on extended diving at one of Egypt’s most iconic offshore reefs, offering dramatic wall dives, strong currents, and exceptional blue-water action. The itinerary blends deep offshore diving with famous Red Sea highlights, making the Daedalus liveaboard an ideal choice for shark lovers and adventure-focused divers looking for world-class dive sites far from the crowds.

Daedalus Reef Safari

The Daedalus Reef Safari is the heart of this itinerary and one of the most legendary diving experiences in the Red Sea. Located far offshore, Daedalus Reef rises dramatically from deep water and is renowned for its steep walls, excellent visibility, and frequent encounters with hammerhead sharks and oceanic whitetip sharks. Strong currents attract large pelagic species, including tuna, barracuda, and reef sharks, while the walls are covered with soft corals, sea fans, and vibrant reef life. Diving Daedalus Reef is fast-paced, exhilarating, and best suited for confident divers seeking adrenaline-filled blue-water dives.

Elphinstone Reef

Elphinstone Reef is a world-famous Daedalus dive site extension that perfectly complements the offshore experience. This narrow reef is known for its dramatic north and south plateaus, strong currents, and consistent shark sightings. Divers often encounter oceanic whitetips, hammerheads, and grey reef sharks cruising along the walls. Covered in colorful soft corals and gorgonians, Elphinstone delivers both spectacular marine life and breathtaking underwater scenery, making it a key highlight of the Daedalus Tour.

Marsa Shouna

Marsa Shouna offers a calm and scenic contrast to the offshore diving of the Daedalus Trip. Known for its healthy reefs and sandy patches, this site is home to green turtles, rich macro life, and occasionally the elusive dugong. The relaxed conditions make it ideal for final dives, underwater photography, and unwinding after intense deep-water exploration.
